The Sarntal valley is situated in the picturesque South Tyrol between its capital city of Bolzano, at 260 metres, and the Penser Joch mountain pass, at 2210 metres of altitude. So it only takes a few hours to travel there from Stuttgart, Munich or Erlangen. It is completely encircled by the Sarntal Alps and is a perfect spot for hiking expeditions and other activities.
